The Methodology and Statistics unit provides statistical support to PhD candidates and other researchers.

Who can use StatiCS?
We provide statistical support to PhD candidates of the Graduate School of Social and Behavioural Sciences (and their supervisors), free of charge. Paid consultation is available to staff members of other faculties of Leiden University and external organisations.

For which questions?
Methodological and statistical issues encountered during the entire research cycle (e.g. choice of method, performance of the analysis, and interpretation). We help you in cracking the hard nuts.

Our statistical consultancy service is free to PhD candidates of the Faculty of Social Sciences. However, we also offer consultation services to PhD candidates and staff of other Leiden University faculties and external organisations.
For an hourly rate of 85 euros, we will be pleased to provide you with statistical consultation. Typically, consultations last one to two hours. If you agree with this arrangement, please let us know and provide us with a SAP number or invoice requirements (contact person, department and address). Additionally, you may indicate the maximum number of hours.
Statistical consultancy services provided to external, non-educational organisations are subject to VAT.
