Booking lecture facilities (for teachers)

With this form you can:

Book a lecture room in the University Library to show materials from the special collections;
Ask for permission to show the materials;
Make a reservation for the Visualizer (optional)

Request library materials

Below you can upload a provisional list of materials that you want to show, including shelfmark and title. The maximum amount of items for each lecture is 15. If you need more items, special arrangements need to be made with the curator and conservation department. Please allow for extra time.

If you can’t provide a list yet, please use the Remarks field to give an indication (e.g. 18th century drawings) and email the list later to specialcollections@library.leidenuniv.nl (two weeks in advance at the latest).

Permission from the curator and conservation department is needed for all items you want to use. We will let you know as soon as possible which items can be used and which cannot, and come up with an alternative if possible.

Please request the definitive selection three to five workdays before your lecture via the online catalogue.
