For a Minor at Leiden University you do not need the approval of the Board of Examiners.
Minors at Leiden University are pre-approved.

For BA International Studies students there are, however, some restrictions in the following Humanities Minors:

 

- American Studies (for students who have chosen North America as their area of specialisation);
- Chinese Economy and Society (for students who have chosen East Asia as their area of specialisation);
- Latijns-Amerikastudies (for students who have chosen Latin America as their area of specialisation).

Please contact your coordinator of studies when you are interested in one of the restricted Minors.



Please keep in mind that you will have to register for all Minors through uSis.

In the unfortunate situation of failing a course during your Study Abroad or Minor, you are required to request approval from the Board of Examiners for a substitute course.

Please fill in the form including all succesfully completed courses at the host University or Minor.
Use the Add another University option to enter the proposed substitute course(s).

Be aware: The substitute course(s) should be cohesive with the courses succesfully obtained Abroad or in the Minor. Please contact your coordinator of studies if there remain any questions.
