Young Academy Leiden (YAL) will be represented at the Night of Discoveries 2023. This event will take place at September 16, in the evening (area: Leiden Academy Building and Hortus Botanicus). This year, we hope to have an interesting program, where young academics from Leiden can tell the story of their research to a broad audience.
We are looking for potential speakers that would like to give an accessible talk to a broad audience at the Night of Discoveries. The overarching theme is "Meet the researcher of the future", showing the citizens of Leiden who will be the researcher of the future, what the research can mean for them, and if possible, how they can engage or help in it.
Our idea is to have a short presentation of 12 minutes, followed by a round table discussion (including also a moderator and other persons with an interesting view on the topic). As such, we are primarily looking for presenters, but also for panelists and people that could potentially moderate a panel.
