Weblecture recordings

A weblecture is an audiovisual recording of a lecture that is made available online, for example on Brightspace. A weblecture recording consists of audio of the speaker and video images of what is projected on the lecture hall screen (Powerpoint, videos, etc.).

Livestreams (with Q&A)

Besides recordings, livetreams are also a possibility (Mediasite has a 30-60 seconds delay) for at home viewing or in another room at the Pieter de la Courtbuilding. You can choose to add a moderated Q&A to livestreams.

Weblecture capable rooms (Mediasite)

Within the Pieter de la Courtbuilding, Mediasite recordings can be made in rooms SC01, 1A20, SA41, SB11, SB45 and the Living Lab (1B01). See the following link for an overview of all weblecture capable rooms at Leiden University. Is your lecture hall not listed here, but you still want to record or livestream your lecture? You can request a mobile webcam set and use this together with one of Leiden University's supported video lecture tools. Contact SOLO for more information about this setup.

N.B. Please check the
copyright and weblectures guidelines from the Copyright Information Office before your lectures are recorded.
