TRAVEL, HOUSING & MOVING-IN (not for exchange students)
The following questions are in regards to your travel, and move to The Hague.
If you are an exchange student please answer "no" to all questions where applicable -
you will not be living at AvB
Moving-in days have been planned from 20-22 August. In order to abide by
the Dutch regulations of mainting a 1.5m distance, we have had to spread out
these days and times. You will receive an allocated day and time for your move
(you can't choose the day),this date is based on the floor you will be allocated.
Students cannot choose which floor nor apartment they want to live in.
You will receive an email from housing@luc.leidenuniv.nl that contains this information
including your individual check-in date and time.
Due to the timing, we ask you that you make your travel plans to The Hague as
flexible as possible, given the situation. Also, as travel restrictions vary per country,
and method of travel, it is up to you, to keep yourselves updated on these restrictions
and how they may apply to you.
You can find the current information and advice from the Dutch government
on travel to The Netherlands here.
Please also read this information before filling out this form, so you can understand the
quarantine restrictions and regulations that may apply to you. All students who are required
to quarantine will be encouraged to do so. Intro Week will therefore be hybrid - online and off-line |

The allocation of rooms at AvB is done by the housing team and the Student Life Officer,
trying to keep a balance of gender, nationalities and year of study across all floors.
However, if you have a disability we need to be aware of, that may hinder you from
being allocated to a random apartment, we will need to know. Additionally, we would
appreciate to know if you belong to a "risk group" for corona infection.
Please read here further, to determine whether you can consider yourself " high risk" in this situation. |

Intro Week
The following questions are for us to be able to plan our Intro Week.
Intro Week will take place this year from 23-27 August (please note you should not register for HOP week -
the other programme in The Hague for Leiden University students)
Intro Week this year will have most of its modules on-line, especially regarding all the information that
students need to know before the start of their studies. There will be opportunity for in-person activities,
depending on the situation at the time of Intro Week. You will be allocated to a mentor group for the
duration of this week. You will find out more about this later in the summer. |
